കോഴിക്കോട്: കരിപ്പൂരിൽ എയർഇന്ത്യ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് വിമാനം യാത്രക്കാരുമായി രണ്ടായി പിളർന്നുവീണു. പൈലറ്റും രണ്ടുവനിതാ യാത്രക്കാരുമുൾപ്പടെ പതിനാറ്പേർ മരിച്ചു. ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ ദീപക് വസന്ത് സാഠെ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. സഹപൈലറ്റ് അഖിലേഷിനും നിരവധി യാത്രക്കാർക്കും പരുക്കുണ്ട്. ഇവരിൽ ചിലരുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്.

ദുബായിൽ വന്ദേഭാരത് മിഷൻ ദൗത്യത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി വന്ന എയർ ഇന്ത്യ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് 1344 കടുത്തമഴ മൂലം റെൺവേയിൽ നിന്നും മാറി 35 അടി താഴ്ചയിലേക്ക് പതിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കൊണ്ടോട്ടി- കുന്നുംപുറം റോഡിൽ മേലങ്ങാടി വഴിയുള്ള ക്രോസ് ബെൽറ്റ് റോഡിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തേക്കാണ് വിമാനം വീണത്.രാത്രി 8 മണിയോടെയാണ് സംഭവം.

175 യാത്രക്കാർ അടക്കം 191 പേർ വിമാനത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായാണ് വിവരം. വിമാനത്തിന്റെ മുൻഭാഗം പൂർണ്ണമായും തകർന്നു. വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ കൺട്രോൾ റൂം തുറന്നു. നമ്പർ: 0483 2719493.
